Job Description:

Due to recent project success and the continued growth of our building performance and climate responsive design team, we are seeking to recruit a Graduate Building Performance & Climate Responsive Designer.

The successful Candidate will support the performance modelling and design of major transport and infrastructure projects related to sustainability, decarbonization, Net Zero, energy and building performance.

You will be assigned to a variety of projects in your chosen area of interest, working to deliver plans, designs and reports for a number of prestigious clients.

Typical work will involve:

  • Assisting with developing whole building energy models for local compliance, LEED and Net Zero.
  • Assisting with developing energy modeling/reporting for LEED, Net Zero or local energy compliance.
  • Developing analysis for different energy and sustainability projects including LEED, decarbonization and carbon inventory
  • Supporting climate resilience and adaptation strategies, assessments, and implementation plans for clients
  • Supporting initiatives for the regional and global business.

Candidate Specification:

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role:

  • A bachelor/master's degree in building performance, energy modeling, building science, architecture and green engineering / technologies
  • Familiar with building energy modeling such as DesignBuilder/EnergyPlus, IESVE and/or CBECC-com
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with "Green Building" practices, policies, technologies.
  • Proficiency in Sketchup/CAD/BIM software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team and project management.
  • Positive attitude, team player.

Salary Range: $70,000-75,000
