Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Highway Intern, we'll count on you to:
* Provide project engineering/project delivery supports with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region
* Anticipated work tasks may include; Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
* Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
* Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
* Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional's programs
* Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
* Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
* Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with anticipated graduation date within 6 months
* Attention to detail a must
* Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Basic Microsoft Office skills

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
* Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
* Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
* Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
* Preference will be given to local candidates
