Overview

The Financial Analyst 3 will be working in Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Forecasting and will be managing and preparing monthly financial statements such as income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, as well as OOR, O&M, Capital Expenditure, EBITDA, and KPI reports and variance analysis. They will be working with the Finance department and submitting the analyses and reports in a timely manner. The Financial Analyst 3 will perform monthly budget to actual variance analysis and identify key variance drivers and provide recommendation on corrective action to ensure that Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) Leaders to stay within budget targets. They will conduct Month-end and Quarter-end Accounting Functions and act as a contact person for ECS reconciliations in SAP Blackline system, perform monthly and quarterly GL account reconciliations and upload the analysis in SAP Runbook in a timely manner, make necessary adjustment for reconciling items, and perform monthly and quarterly journal entries and ad hoc journal entries as needed.

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsible for ECS GL account and Cost Center maintenance.
  • Annual Budgeting Process
    • Coordinates with ECS Managers in the preparation and submission of the annual O&M budgets. Develops and implements budget and workforce forecasting models, researches, and gathers information to ensure that Customer Services and Corporate Budgets requirements are met.
    • Conducts and leads budget meetings with upper management such as Engineering, OSP, Sales, and others to complete O&M budget and workforce forecast analysis.
    • Coordinate with Finance and Customer Services to ensure budgets are uploaded in SAP accurately and in a timely manner. Prepare Spring and Fall Long Term Plan and make sure the plans is in sync with ECS budgets.
    • Ad hoc Reporting and Support
  • Responsible for processing invoice payments for purchase orders and non-purchase orders in Ariba and SAP systems in a timely and accurate manner.
    • May include support and assistance with various reporting and compliance filing as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience required.
  • Five (5) - Eight (8) years experience in financial planning, performing analysis including the ability to analyze financial and business related data is required
  • Working knowledge of financial procedures, techniques and demonstrated analytic capability.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost rates establishment, business case development and variance analysis.

  • Candidate must demonstrate an ability to analyze, explain and draw logical conclusions from moderately complex data.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet modeling required.

Desired:

  • A CFA or a CPA license.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $64,929 - $81,161. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
