We have an opportunity for a Tooling Engineer to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will manage injection molding tooling projects to support plant wide New Product Development projects, and continuation engineering activities.

You will:

• Provide budgetary quotes and timing for new injection molding tools.
• Review 3D models of product design and drive design changes for improved product performance, decreased cycle times and increasing tooling life.
• Perform tooling design review and interface with product engineers for design changes ensuring new tools conform to Pentair tooling standards.
• Perform mold flow analysis.
• Calculate press tonnage, cycle times and piece part pricing.
• Monitor tooling builds to timeline, manage engineering changes.
• Coordinates sampling, metrology requests and changes to tooling when it arrives on site.
• Liaison between design engineering and manufacturing on new products and product changes.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years experience in injection molding tooling, processes and project management.
• SolidWorks (or similar design software) experience required.
• Must be able to understand GDT tolerances of plastic and steel parts.
• Experience with managing injection molding tooling projects.

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $90,000 - 160,000 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position if filled outside of the intended geographic location.
