Role Summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced retail visual content leader who desires the challenge of a new business and the excitement of building something from the ground up. You will play a critical role in enhancing Rivian's retail footprint, leading the implementation of physical and digital display components that support retail associates in seamlessly moving customers through the ownership funnel. You will concept and implement data-driven strategies to create effective in-store displays, driving sales and engagement through attention-grabbing content and persuasive calls-to-action. In alignment with our brand calendar and sales initiatives, you will own the roadmap for in-store campaigns.

You will partner with our in-house creative and design teams to develop content and will be directly responsible for deployment to all retail spaces. You will synthesize creative brand direction, marketing campaigns, and technical concepts into approachable visual displays. This role requires a balance of creativity, sales acumen, tactical execution and the ability to lead through influence. To be successful in this role, you must have a customer and team-first approach and thrive in ambiguous and unexpected environments, tackling all challenges with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive in-store brand and marketing campaign content roadmap strategy for both physical and digital displays.
  • Define the objectives, themes, and messaging requirements for all visuals in alignment with Rivian's brand identity and sales and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with the in-house creative, brand, and marketing teams to develop engaging concepts for retail displays.
  • Shepherd creative assets through all stages of development - project managing the cross-functional collaboration from concept through approval, production, and installation.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of quarterly objectives and campaigns, ensuring all work supports organizational priorities and goals.
  • Analyze the impact campaigns and visual displays have on ROI and other KPIs, using sales data and consumer insights to make necessary adjustments.
  • In collaboration with Rivian's in-house creative teams, establish the retail presentation standards and site-level content installation guidelines, ensuring our locations always look and feel premium.
  • Lead project workback plans, regularly documenting and cascading updates on all initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to inform and approve content, ensuring it is both accurate and compliant.
  • Identify and solve market and location-specific operational constraints, including regulatory, sales licenses, legal, permitting, and lease requirements, with a focus on ensuring Rivian can deploy our sales and customer engagement strategy.
  • Uphold Rivian's brand tone and voice to maintain continuity and consistency across all customer-facing platforms, inspiring customers through visual displays that add educational value and drive sales results.
  • Lead the order fulfillment process with vendors, from the bidding process through production, delivery, and installation, ensuring budget, timing, and brand standards are met.
  • Manage project budgets and annual budgets, diligently tracking costs and expenses.
  • Regularly visit and spend time in our locations, identifying and evaluating trends.
  • Build and foster a strong workplace culture focused on a positive team experience and over-delivering for our customers.
  • Prioritize workload effectively across multiple complex projects with varying and competing deadlines.
  • Manage and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and Rivian company policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in retail visual merchandising, retail brand experience, marketing, or creative project management.
  • Direct-to-Consumer retail business model preferred.
  • Proven ability to concept and execute effective in-store marketing strategies based on data analysis and consumer insights.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required;Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support projects on nights, weekends and/or holidays; ability and willingness to travel based on business needs to support market launches and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal language skills in English required, additional languages a plus.
  • An obsessive approach to elevating the customer experience and commitment to taking every opportunity to over-deliver when it comes to delighting our customers.
  • Strong Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction/architectural documents.
  • Ability to leverage project management software and tools to communicate project milestones and updates.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and apply a scrappy and resourceful approach to everything you do. Solve problems and overcome challenges with creativity and ingenuity.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, solicit cooperation, and achieve results through collaboration while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in a full-service retail center or unpredictable weather conditions.
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 6 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs).
  • Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners.
  • Strong understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $101,000 to $126,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums. "
