Raymond West is looking for a dynamic Procurement Specialist to join our team! As a Procurement Specialist at Raymond West, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of indirect goods and services. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the organization receives high-quality products and services at the best possible cost. You will work closely with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize procurement strategies and drive cost savings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with indirect suppliers and service providers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
  • Cost Optimization: Continuously assess and analyze procurement costs, seeking opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Supplier Performance: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Sourcing: Identify alternative sources for indirect goods and services, fostering competition and driving supplier performance improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses and financial assessments to support decision-making and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Contract Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, agreements, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Willing to attend seminars and classes to update/improve various skills.
  • Capable of making sound decisions.
  • Able to operate motor vehicles and forklifts.
  • Must be able to provide a current, valid, unrestricted driver license.

Education/Experience:

Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position.

  • High School Diploma/GED, Preferred bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related field), prior procurement experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirement:

  • 5% (2 hours a week)
  • Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

Pay Range:

  • The hourly range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
