WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

We are seeking an experienced Public Sector Partner Manager to join our Partner Sales Team within Box's Go-To Market Organization. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a solid track record in the public sector and expertise in Nearbound GTM strategies.

You will play a pivotal role in developing and strengthening relationships with key Regional System Integrators (SIs) focused on city, county, and state business across North America. By devising and executing innovative go-to-market strategies, you will drive significant revenue growth and uphold Box's position as a leader in cloud content management for the public sector.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • State and Local Government Focused Strategic Partner Management: Develop and implement comprehensive partner management and growth strategies focused on State and Local government customers and partners. This involves identifying vertical growth opportunities, with new and existing managed partners, conducting strategic business and account reviews, and optimizing partner performance across your portfolio.

  • Sales Leadership and Business Development: Manage the entire pursuit and sales cycle with partners, from pipeline development to deal closure across dozens of partners. This includes detailed sales forecasting, driving joint solutions and sales initiatives, and surpassing pipeline and revenue growth targets.

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Public Sector leadership, solutions engineering, Box Consulting, marketing, product managers, and customer success. You will ensure that partner activities align with Box's strategic goals, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our ecosystem.

  • Product and Government Vertical Expertise: Act as a thought leader, providing insights to partners and Box teams on trends and priorities for local government. Stay ahead of industry and market trends, contribute to product and solution development to support partners, and position Box as a leader in digital transformation solutions for with Box's Partners

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven GTM and Partner Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in partner solutions and sales or channel management within the public sector, ideally in a SaaS environment. Your experience should include managing large-scale partnerships, successful solution selling, and a demonstrable track record of exceeding business goals personally and with your partners.

  • Expert in Nearbound GTM Tactics: You are adept at implementing Nearbound GTM strategies, focusing on building trust and collaboration within the partner ecosystem. Your approach is centered around identifying overlapping accounts with partners, leveraging shared data, and utilizing the collective trust in your network. This proficiency will be key in driving more efficient and effective partner engagements, leading to accelerated deal closures and enhanced partner relationships.

  • SaaS and Public Sector Expertise: A deep understanding of the SaaS industry, its challenges, and opportunities. Familiarity with the nuances of cloud content management and digital transformation tailored for the public sector.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, coupled with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in presentations and executive discussions.

  • Adaptability and High Energy: You thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, adapting to changing market conditions and innovations like Box AI

  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical knowledge, preferably with a good understanding of Box's product suite and platform, enabling you to effectively align partner solutions with customer needs.

In this role, you will not only help Box win with partners but also create immense value for our customers, helping our partners grow their Box business and develop innovative solutions.
