The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced media professional to join our global media team. The Associate Manager, Global Media will oversee the global media plans for all regions for Mattel's brands, working closely with the Director, Global Media, global brand marketing, creative, communications, digital marketing, regional commercial marketing and regional media teams.

You will work in partnership with regional marketing and regional media teams to consolidate input, develop paid media strategies, and execute global media frameworks that leverage global scale and enable local excellence. You will also provide strategic oversight of corporate goals including learning agendas, performance reporting, creative and media integration, and agency management.

You will be responsible for contributing to global media updates to internal stakeholders including regional marketing and media teams, global brand marketing, finance, and senior management.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  1. Support the global media process by working closely with the global marketing team, the regional media team and the regional marketing teams to help facilitate media frameworks that are on-strategy, deliver global brand objectives, and consider local needs.
  2. Work closely with global brand teams to enhance global media strategies and briefs that local teams will utilize to brief local media agencies.
  3. Partner with regional media and marketing teams to develop and monitor global paid media thresholds.
  4. Work with cross functional teams in marketing, regional media, and marketing communications to develop global platform strategies for media and creative in digital video, social, and display.
  5. Collaborate with regional media teams, the global marketing teams, and finance on the global media budgeting process.
  6. Collaborate with cross functional teams & Marketing teams on integrated marketing communication plans that drive our business.
  7. Contribute to bi-annual global media reviews and provide updates on media innovation and global cross regional media opportunities.
  8. Partner with the Global Business Insights and Marketing teams to identify test-and-learn opportunities.
  9. Contribute to media measurement and performance updates to the global marketing and commercial organizations and consolidate in-market asset performance insights to creative and communications team.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and comms planning. Specific experience in international media preferred.
  • Strong digital media background.
  • Kids media experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a complex multi-brand portfolio in a fast-paced, dynamic category.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an understanding of how to use data in media planning and execution.
  • Experience synthesizing complex concepts into clear strategies and presenting your work to senior management.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work with multiple internal and external groups
  • Team player/mentality
  • Flexible, able to pivot in real-time given fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $88,000 and $133,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
