Description

STV is seeking a Civil Engineering Specialist to join our growing Transportation team in our LA or Rancho offices.

The Civil Engineering Specialist will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in civil, transportation design and engineering. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting high-quality standards, and adhering to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform project design and development.

  • Provide technical expertise in areas such as civil and transportation to guide project teams and ensure engineering solutions align with industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate various project elements seamlessly.

  • Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues and ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or desire to obtain one, is desired.

  • EIT (engineering-in-Training) is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on [Specify relevant areas].

  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivery of complex civil engineering projects.

  • Strong proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and incorporating innovative solutions into projects.

Compensation Range:

$85,434.00 - $113,912.00
